Meggitt Sensing Systems Switzerland has been approved as a supplier by Saudi Aramco for vibration monitoring systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This approval was granted further to a successful evaluation of Meggitt Sensing Systems’ manufacturing plant in Switzerland. Meggitt and its local partner, Naizak, a subsidiary of Al Abdulkarim Holding Group, are committed to meeting the requirements for rotating machinery online condition monitoring systems of key customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Meggitt has jointly invested with Naizak in qualifying engineers and setting-up a factory in Dammam, in order to provide efficient support to local customers and drive localisation and in-country development.
An inauguration of the manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will launch this project.
Irvine, California, USA ––Meggitt, the leading innovator of sensors for test and measurement applications, introduces the ultra-miniature Endevco® 35B, the smallest and lightest triaxial IEPE accelerometer in the world. The extremely small, light form factor makes it ideal for applications in which it is critical to minimize mass loading on the test structure. Meggitt recommends the sensor for testing consumer electronics, computer peripherals, aerospace and automotive components, human body protective equipment and precision machinery components.
Irvine, California, USA –– Meggitt, a leading supplier of vibration sensing products, introduces ReferenceMate™, an advanced portable vibration reference source (aka handheld shaker) with multiple frequency outputs—an industry first that eliminates manual conversions between imperial, metric or calibration sheet values. With a number self-diagnostic features to ensure data integrity, Meggitt believes this to be one of the most trustworthy handheld shakers on the market.
Fribourg, Switzerland –– Meggitt, specialists in advanced condition monitoring, has released VibroSight® software, a total monitoring solution for turbines, critical machinery and balance-of-plant equipment, following installation and extensive field usage over several pilot projects in gas turbine power plants around the world.
Fribourg, Switzerland –– Meggitt, specialists in advanced condition monitoring, has launched the new VibroSmart® distributed monitoring system for turbines, critical machinery and balance-of-plant equipment. Highly flexible, VibroSmart can be a standalone safety assurance system for vibration-based machinery protection or provide advanced diagnostic tools to inform and support asset management decisions. VibroSmart seamlessly integrates with most plant control systems, such as a PLC or DCS. When combined with VibroSight® condition monitoring software, it enables detailed insights into machinery health.
Irvine, California, USA –– Meggitt’s new pod accelerometer mounting system is such a simple idea it’s hard to believe nobody thought of it before, yet it will revolutionize vibration sensor testing. The Endevco® 46A general purpose accelerometer, available in five sensitivities from 10 to 1,000 mV/g, is threaded and can be fitted into a variety of different mounting blocks (or “pods”), with a stud or adhesive mount.
Irvine, California, USA ––Meggitt, the leading innovator of sensors for test and measurement applications, announces the global market introduction of Endevco® model 27BLPF accelerometer. Meggitt’s highest temperature, single-axis IEPE accelerometer features an integral two-pole low-pass filter and comes in a miniature, lightweight package.
Irvine, California, USA –– Meggitt Sensing Systems was selected by Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc company, to provide gearbox oil level and chip detection monitoring systems for the new 525 Relentless commercial super-medium helicopter. Meggitt estimates that the agreements will generate gross sales of more than $30 million over the production life of this helicopter, including original equipment, spares and repairs.
Meggitt (Orange County), Inc has obtained a preliminary injunction as part of trade secret misappropriation litigation against defendants Xiamen Niell Electronics Co Ltd and Nie Yongzhong (aka William Nie or Bill Nie).
